These masks are an attempt at giving back to society and have also helped us to move towards becoming a sustainable business. It is our attempt to help the struggling community of tailors working under many small designers who shut their businesses during the nation wide lockdown induced by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Project Darzi took birth when no factories were functional,no material was available and no staff could travel to reach any place where they could stitch apart from makeshift places at our homes.
I , Inayaa Gulati, a student of The Vasant Valley School began an individual voluntary initiative in March 2020 to help unemployed tailors come together and create masks from scrap material.
The proceeds from the sale of these masks goes entirely to the families of these tailors.
We can customise these masks for size and design.
We hope you will support our cause.
